Over the last 17 years we have successfully trained 6 apprentices and have currently employed another 2 apprentices, most of whom had previously completed a VET construction course. The VET course gives them a good kick start to their training and I have found that when starting their apprenticeship they already have some basic knowledge of the construction industry. We certainly prefer to take on apprentices that have completed a VET construction course.
