What is Get Back in the Game Program?

The Get Back in the Game (GBIG) Program is a comprehensive initiative designed to support young people aged 15 to 19 years within the Illawarra Region. GBIG is dedicated to those who have found themselves disengaged from education and are facing challenges in transitioning effectively into employment or further learning opportunities.

Is Get Back in the Game Suitable for me?

GBIG welcomes any young person who meets the eligibility criteria and is:

Seeking to re-engage with education or training.
Looking for employment.
Not currently engaged in any other support program.

What is 'Back in the Game'?

‘Back in the Game’ is the component of the Get Back in the Game Program that is aimed at supporting young people who are currently enrolled in a NSW Department of Education School that is participating in the Educational Pathways Program (EPP) who require additional support to remain engaged or to transition into further education, training and or employment.

What is 'Get in the Game'?

‘Get in the Game’ is the component of the Get Back in the Game Program that is designed for young people who are not engaged in any form of employment, education, or training, providing them with the necessary support to re-engage.

Who is eligible for the Get Back in the Game Program?

Students who are aged 15-19 years old and reside within the service area are eligible for this program.

There are certain requirements for both the ‘Get in the Game’ and ‘Back in the Game’ programs, so reach out to our team to find out which program suits your needs.
